All facial services are done using the Oxygen Botanicals high-grade skincare line.
Up to half of the oxygen content in our skin can be lost by the age of 25. As we age, our skin becomes less efficient at renewing itself, resulting in slower cellular metabolism, reduction of collagen and elastin, and the appearance of fine lines and discolorations. The external effects of sun exposure, air pollution, diet and day-to-day stress can make skin look dull and dry. When skin is deprived of oxygen, it shows.

Chemical Peel
Chemical peels are a great option for those looking to smooth out mild acne scars, unclog pores, or just want that glow from healthy, rejuvenated skin. Chemical peels involve the application of a chemical solution to remove the damaged outer layers of the skin. This application promotes healthier and younger looking skin. At Universal Body Image & Laser Center, we will determine which peel is right for you depending on your expectations, skin type, and severity of the skin condition being treated.

Back Facial

back facial. Your back facial will include a double cleanse, exfoliation, back massage, hydrating mask, and a moisturizer.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a skin resurfacing
treatment which utilizes a stream of micro-crystals projected onto the skin and
then vacuumed away. Refresh your skin with this non-invasive skin resurfacing
treatment. Outer layers of skin cells are removed, stimulating collagen
production and cellular renewal.
Crystal: Crystal Microdermabrasion systems are the
traditional treatment of choice and rely on tiny crystals that are gently
applied onto the skin to perform the exfoliating process.
Diamond Tip: Diamond microdermabrasion systems operate
without the need for crystals. The exfoliation process occurs when a diamond
tipped head makes contact with the skin.

How does it work?
Microdermabrasion is a gentle
exfoliation that is performed with a diamond-encrusted applicator tip.
The tip passes over the skins surface, and creates a gentle vacuum. The
diamond tip gently exfoliates approximately 20-25 microns of dead skin cells of
the outermost layer (stratum corneum). Once removed, it reveals one’s own
fresher, younger looking skin beneath. One Microdermabrasion is equal to three
30% glycolic peels or one 70% peel.

Note:If you are using products
containing alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), glycolic acid, Retin-A or vitamin C,
please discontinue use 48 hours prior to microdermabrasion.
Facial Add-Ons:
- Glycolic Acid Peel: A light alpha
hydroxy acid peel removes dulling surface cells, jump-starts the production of
new collagen and elastin, and improves skin texture and the appearance of fine
lines and wrinkles.

- High Frequency: High Frequency is used to eliminate and prevent acne, shrink
enlarged pores, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and cellulite,
decongest puffy eyes, and fade dark eye circles. The application of high
frequency current also promotes a cleansing antibacterial action that helps
prevent the onset of acne. The skin is left feeling instantly energized, rosy,
firm, refreshed and noticeably softer - even after just one treatment. The
enriched oxygen molecules produced by high frequency machines are safe and have been proven to be effective on almost any skin lesion from acne to burns,
waxing procedures, etc. and helps to quickly heal and restore the skin's
health.

- LED Light Therapy: The use of red LED light is the most powerful & effective way to stimulate
the production of collagen & elastin in the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles result from the lack of collagen and elastin in the
skin. LED light penetrates into the dermis of the skin, energizing the
cells, thereby helping to create collagen and elastin, much the same as when
you were younger. Collagen helps to plump up the skin, while elastin helps to
firm the skin, thus diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. It’s that simple!
